Welcome to Nadia Shireen Class

We hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday. It has been so brilliant to welcome the children back into school and we have had a fabulous week settling into our new class. We have learnt that our new class name is Nadia Shireen and we have read some of her fabulous books. We are looking forward to learning more about her next week. 

We have enjoyed getting to know our new classmates and teachers and have played some different games to help us to learn about each other. We shared our holidays news and talked about the different things that we are looking forward to about Year 2. In maths we practised writing numbers in both numerals and words up to 20. 

Next week we will begin our maths topic 'Place Value'  where we will begin by focusing on numbers to 20 before moving on to identifying the total of a group up to 20 by counting in 10s.
