Free School Meals/Pupil Premium Eligibility

All our children in school from Reception Class to Year Two are eligible for a cooked lunch at no cost to the parent. However, there is also an additional government scheme called Free School Meal Eligibility; under this scheme, families who are eligible for certain benefits attract additional funding, called Pupil Pemium Funding to the school.  This funding helps us to provide additional teaching support, resources, enrichment activities and enables us to offer children eligible for Pupil Premium a free place at breakfast club and any after school clubs. We would therefore ask, if any parents are eligible for one or more of the following, that they click on the link at the bottom of this page to apply or alternatively contact the school office who will support you through this process.

Eligibility Criteria- one or more of the following-

  • Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
  • Income support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit, but are not entitled to a Working Tax Credit and your annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) is less than £16,190
  • Support under Part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

Free School Meals can be claimed at any point in time, so should your circumstances change, please use the link at the bottom of the page, and/or speak to the school office for support with your application.
