Week commencing 2nd October

This week in EYFS, we've been on an exciting journey of exploration and discovery!

Our focus text, "This Is Our Home" by Eric Carle, has sparked engaging conversations about what makes a home a home. We've been encouraging the children to express themselves using full sentences. for example starting with the prompt, "My favorite thing about my home is..."

In mathematics, we've have been exploring sorting techniques and creating soritng rules. The children have been using object and putting them into groups by looking at ways of sorting e.g colour, shape, number of legs, animals etc

We've also been busy practicing two crucial skills - name writing and cutting to help develop theor fine motor skills.
