We had continued to read a traditional tale called Goldilocks and the Three Bears! 

Our children enjoyed singing along to this Goldilocks themed song: 

 

Children engaged in lots of activities! This included:

• Painting using every-day materials as brushes (e.g., feather, foil, sponge)
• Creating a bear's face using natural, loose objects.
• Playdough - We developed our technique in cutting. We rolled the dough using every-day objects, such as scissors and a ruler.  
• Making porridge! Children happily tasted the porridge. Some children loved the taste. 

 

Group Time

Groups 1 and 2:

Maths: We continued to teach the number 1. You can help by encouraging your child to identify the number 1 or 1 spot on a dice.

Talking Telephones: Our Nursery telephone rang! Children were brave to answer the telephone and continue a conversation with their                                                   teacher. 

Group 3:

Nursery Rhymes: Our new children have been busy learning and singing familar nursery rhymes.

Circle Time: Children had fun rolling a ball across the circle to their friends.  

 

Phonics

We taught the phoneme 'p'. You can help by encouraging your child to identify any objects which begin with the phoneme.
