Last week we continued to read the story, The Gingerbread Man. 

We practised our counting by joining in with this gingerbread number song:

 

Baking

Our children were thrillled to join in with their first baking experience of this academic year.

We made yummy Gingerbread Men biscuits!

One child said "Mine was safe. It didn't run away!" They made sure to gobble them up before they had a chance to run off!

 

 

Other activities within provision

• Fox craft - collaging a fox, made out of paper plate. 
• Washing farm animals themed tuff tray
• Threading beads 
• Driving vehicles on road themed numbers
• All About Me themed craft activity - Decorating people cut-outs to resemble themselves

 

Autumn

We have been talking about Autumn. Children were encouraged to bring a leaf into Nursery. Many children collected leaves on their way into Nursery each morning.

Whilst at Nursery and playing outdoors, a group of children also collected a pile of Autumn leaves! We used the leaves as part of an Autumn exploratory tuff tray. Children enjoyed exploring.They found conkers and pinecones hidden beneath the leaves. They also found some animals: Owl, fox, badger and a squirrel.
