Last week, children continued to settle into Nursery. 

We were also very happy to welcome new children into our setting. Children continued to learn the names of their new friends, and teachers.

 

Carpet Time

We beautifully sang different Nursery Rhymes. A new Nursery Rhyme was taught each day. We will continue to learn many more in the upcoming weeks. The Nursery Rhymes that were taught were: 

• Twinkle Twinkle
• Humpty Dumpty
• Baa Baa Black Sheep
• Wind the Bobbin Up

 

Topic: All About Me

Our Topic for this half term is: All About Me.

 We had fun making birthday cards. We also moulded facial features out of playdough. 

 

Some other activities within provision:

• Threading pipe cleaners through a colander
• Picking up a pom-pom using a tweezer 
• Sorting Counting Teddies by colour
• Cutting and sticking in the creative area

 

Book Swap: 

Tuesday and Friday: Children chose a book from our Reading Lounge. They took this home to share with a family member. If your child does not have a book bag as yet, this can be purchased from the school office. Please ensure book bags are brought in every Tuesday and Friday.
