Oliver Jeffers Week beginning 23rd October

English

I’m sure you may already know, but this week we have been making smoothies in school!! We created a name for our class smoothie, the ‘Superstar smoothie’ and had a fantastic day making our smoothie for the whole of Key stage 1 to try. Nadia Shireen and Anthony Brown also made one and we voted for our favourite. Our English focus was reading and writing instructions. If you get chance over the holidays,  it would be lovely if you could make your child’s favourite smoothie together. (The recipe is in their homework book)

Maths

In Maths our Year 1s  have been working upon their number bonds to 10

Our Year 2s have been adding 3 one digit numbers together and using their number bond knowledge to help.

.Computing

In Computing we have been practising logging on and off safely.

Art

In Art we have created our own Geometric Art using the artist Kandinsky as our inspiration.

Science

In Science we have been learning about how our senses keep us safe.
