In English we will be using a video clip called 'Soar' as the stimulus for our work. We will be writing a prediction task based on the clip, and then writing character descriptions and setting descriptions. We are learning how to use and apply our writing skills in these pieces of work e.g.how to use adverbs, expanded noun phrases and use of different sentence types in our writing tasks. For year one, the focus is on how to use capital letters and full stops, as well as how to use adjectives.

The film 'Soar' can be found here: https://www.literacyshed.com/soar.html

Year Two - In maths this week we will be learning about 2D and 3D shapes. We will be investigating the properties of the different shapes.

Year One - In maths this week we are learning how to count in 2s and 5s. We will be using these skills to help us solve maths problems.
