Nadia Shireen - Week commencing 11th September - Review

Week Commencing 11th September 

This week we have spent some more time learning about our class Author 'Nadia Shireen'. We have read some more of her books and learned some more about her childhood and how she became an Author. The children enjoyed writing some facts about what they had learned. We talked about different emotions and different events that make us feel these emotions. We then thought about strategies that we could use that could help us to overcome them. 

In maths we have been continuing our work on place value, where the children were learning to partition a number into its tens and ones. 

On Tuesday we had a special assembly where we talked about the role of the School Councillors. Any children who were then interested in becoming a school councillor was given time to fill out an application form. 

In PSHE we talked about making mistakes and how it was good to make mistakes and then learn from them.
