8th May - Whole School VE Day Challenge

Date: 8th May 2020 @ 11:03am

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the 2nd World War in Europe - 'Victory in Europe' Day. Here are a few ideas of how we can celebrate it.

* Why not make some bunting and hang it in your window for all to see?

* Or some salt dough medals.

* Or design and make a WW2 paper plane and see how far it can fly.

* Maybe you could draw, paint or make a collage poppy.

* There's a beautiful, short animation of a rabbit running through the poppy fields on CBeebies which is lovely for young children to watch.

* You could even have a 'Stay at Home Street Party' by enjoying a picnic in your garden.

At 3pm today why not join in with the nation by saying "To those who gave so much, we thank you."

 We'll meet again

Don't know where

Don't know when

But I know we'll meet again

Some sunny day.

Take care everyone and keep smiling through x
