Home learning links

Here is a useful website that you can use to help your children at home. There are a variety of nursery rhymes on the site that we use in pre-school which follows our EYFS planning to support the children's learning and speaking skills.

Why not browse through a selection of rhymes and see which one is your child's favourite? laugh

What we are learning this term:

Spring 1

Term commencing 8th January 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome back to pre-school to all of our lovely children and parents. We hope you have all had a relaxing and lovely Christmas holidays and are ready for 2018!

This term we will be continuing learning about different colours. We will also begin to introduce simple shapes through the use of visual cards and construction. The children will have lots of opportunities to express themselves through building their own simple structures and arrangements with different construction toys.

We are surrounded by plenty of shapes and colours in the environment so don't forget to talk to your children at home about the different shapes and colours they see. This will greatly support your child's learning this term nosmiley

Autumn 2

This term our topic is autumn and weather. Our children are learning about different colours and textures through exploring a variety of leaves. They will also be going on an autumn walk to investigate the outdoors and collect leaves for our exciting creative activities.
