The staff team plan a range of learning opportunities aimed at children’s specific developmental stage and place a high emphasis on supporting children’s physical, social and emotional and communication skills.
The Pre-school operates a morning and afternoon session.
Pre-School opening times:
AM - 8.30am – 11.30am
PM - 12 noon to 3.00pm
How to help your child:
Talk to your child about what they have been learning and the activities they have been doing in pre-school
Please provide spare clothing so staff can change your child if needed
Please re-fill their bags with extra supplies of nappies, etc
Our Topic this half term will be:
During this topic the children will learn about lots of different Nursery Rhymes. Through Nursery Rhymes the children will have lots of fun learning the words and actions to the rhymes and will develop different skills through counting rhymes, sounds and movement.
In our PSED sessions we will be encouraging the children to take turns and be kind and will be reminding them of our golden rules.

Eid Fun Day - Monday 18th June
We will be having a party and bouncy castle in school to help us to celebrate Eid with the children. Both the AM and PM children will be celebrating together during the morning session on that day.

This term the children will be learning all about minibeasts.
They will be taking part in lots of exciting and fun activities to help them to learn all about minibeasts. The children will get the opportunity to do the following activities:
Use their hand prints to make a summer tree.
Creating their own minibeast.
Take part in an exciting science experiment where they get to find out how ice can turn into water.
Learning all about the different minibeasts including spiders, butterflies, caterpillars and ladybirds.
How to help your child!
This term the children will be learning about healthy eating through a variety of fun and exciting activities.

The children will be taking part in a whole school Egg decorating competition with a prize given to the most outstanding egg.
You could decorate it with bright colours or glitter or choose your child's favourite character or animal.
On Wednesday 20th December 2017 Pre-school Aladdin's Party Morning.
AM and PM children are invited into school in the morning to join in the fun. On this day we have many exciting activities planned for everyone to take part in.
Wednesday 13th December 2017: 3:00pm - 4:30pm - Aladdin's Family Tea Party.
Come and join us in school for a celebration tea party. All pre-school parents and children are welcome.
Picnic Food Bags can be ordered and paid for in advance. Bring a few extra pennies to fill up on treats on the evening.

The week commencing 13th November is our Children in Need week. We advise parents to send all children dressed in different colours on Friday 17th November so that they can be a part of our rainbow theme.

Term commencing 8th January 2018
HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome back to pre-school to all of our lovely children and parents. We hope you have all had a relaxing and lovely Christmas holidays and are ready for 2018!
This term we will be continuing learning about different colours. We will also begin to introduce simple shapes through the use of visual cards and construction. The children will have lots of opportunities to express themselves through building their own simple structures and arrangements with different construction toys.
We are surrounded by plenty of shapes and colours in the environment so don't forget to talk to your children at home about the different shapes and colours they see. This will greatly support your child's learning this term
This term our topic is autumn and weather. Our children are learning about different colours and textures through exploring a variety of leaves. They will also be going on an autumn walk to investigate the outdoors and collect leaves for our exciting creative activities.
