On Tuesday 13th March the children had an exciting time when a Planetarium came to visit our school. Each class went to explore the planetarium and learnt lots of new and exciting facts about space. The children were able to discover the stars and learn about the many constellations. They got to journey to the moon and experienced what it would be like to travel in a rocket and walk on the moon. The child have previously learnt all about space at school and were able to show great knowledge by talking about what they remembered. They shared their knowledge on the different planets in our solar system and enjoyed looking at videos of Neil Armstrong landing and walking on the moon for the first time. For home work the children were set the challenge to research all about space and to create something based on their knowledge. We have had lots of fabulous creations brought back to school and we would like to thank the parents for helping their children to create some wonderful space models.
