HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES AND TOES’, a universal song for all!

We are excited to announce today’s launch of a fun project to encourage singing within families with young children whilst also celebrating the rich diversity of Kirklees!

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes is a project funded by Kirklees Council’s Libraries and Early Years Outcomes in partnership with the Creative Development Team. Filming took place at Batley Library, The Greenwood Centre and The Chestnut Centre.

All the films are available on: https://www.musicinkirklees.co.uk/year-of-music-2023/all-join-in/

The full mix of the film can be viewed and you can also view individual films in all the different language. A family from Pentlands contributed to the Urdu & Punjabi section of the films.

The BBC’s Tiny Happy People will also be promoting the video on their Instagram link ‘bbctinyhappypeople’

A big thank you to all the families who took part form Kirklees and a Special Pentland Thank You to the family from Pentland Infant and Nursery School who contributed to the song.
