School open for all children March 8th 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

The following information has been distrubuted to parents in the home learning packs sent out on the 26th February 2021. This letter is availabe on the website to download. Click on the link to access this page Letters and Newsletters

I hope you are all well and safe. As you will already know the Government have indicated that they would like primary schools to open to all pupils on Monday 8th March 2021. After careful consideration and planning, we are in a position to reopen school to all pupils on this date.

We are continually reviewing our risk assessments, in line with the most recent government guidance. As we already had very robust safety practices in place prior to the current lockdown, we will be operating a similar structure to the day as before. This will include staggered drop off and pick up times (see below), social distancing on the school site and a strict bubble system for the children whilst they are in school.

The guidelines with regards to bringing items into school will remain the same as before. Please continue to send your child into school with a full water bottle and do not bring any other personal items from home. We invite all children to wear their school uniform and bring their book bags with them on Monday. If you have any problems with this, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

The drop off and pick up locations and times have not changed, however, please see below for a reminder. These times have been carefully scheduled to limit the number of people on site at any given time; we therefore request that you adhere to these times. We will continue with the same arrangement for siblings, requesting that you drop off and pick up at the earlier of the times.

Concluding Comments

As with safeguarding, it is everybody’s responsibility to help every child, parent and staff member to stay safe.  Please continue to follow the social distancing rules in the community, as well as in school, to minimise the risk of spreading the virus. Can I please ask all adults unless exempt to wear a mask when in the school grounds.

I appreciate that you may still have questions and queries regarding the children returning to school.  Please get in touch with school via the normal channels if you want to discuss anything further.

Finally, I give you my very best wishes and we all look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday 8th March 2021.

Kind Regards

Pat Barker
