We value each child as an individual and in terms of providing for their Special Educational needs or disability , different people within the school community and beyond will be involved in shaping provision according to the child’s unique needs . However, below is a list of some of the key people that may well be involved :
Your child’s class teacher will be your and your child’s first contact in school. They will be working hard to ensure that all your child’s needs are met on a daily basis.
Mrs Rushby is our Inclusion Co-ordinator and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo). She works closely with class teachers and external agencies to put in place strategies and interventions to help remove your child’ s barriers to learning and ensure that they achieve well here at Pentland.
Mrs Coates-Mohammed, the Headteacher, tracks children’s progress and ensures that everyone in school is providing the best possible care and education for all children in school.
Mr Ashraf Mulla is our SEN Governor. He maintains an overview of Special Needs Provision within school to ensure it is of the highest quality.
