Week beginning 24th January 2022

This week we will be learning some factual information by looking at non-fiction texts. We will talk about the features of a non-fiction book such as the contents page, index and labels. We will talk about the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts. We will then be looking in detail at dinosaur fossils, following instructions to help us to make our very own fossils.

In maths we will be learning about capacity. We will be using key vocabulary full, emoty, half full, nearly full and nearly empty to descibe how full a container is. We will cary out experiments using different resources such as water, sand, rice and pasta to discover which containers hold the most and which hold the least.
