This week we will be introducing the children to a new book The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. It is a rhyming story of a mouse and his adventures as he walks through the woods meeting different animals. We will be exploring our own school woods to look for animals and then using the internet safely to research facts about the animals we meet in the story. We will be using these facts to write our own animal fact files.

 Maths

This week we will be focussing upon our numbers 10-20. We will be exploring different representations  of the number with a real focus upon place value.

We will be counting to, ordering and writing our numbers to 20.

Topic

As part of our PE lesson we will be continue working upon our throwing ,catching, rolling and kicking skills through our new mini rugby topic.

We will also be continuing our new mini topic- Puppets and Pop ups.
