English

In English we have been reading the story The Secret Sky Garden and this week we will be designing and making our very own kites! This will lead to us writing instructions to help others to make a Kite. We will also have a go a designing a Secret Sky Garden. I wonder what they will look like?

Maths

In Maths we have been doing multiplication by learning about repeated addition and how to make arrays. This week we will continue that by learning about doubles.

We will move on to division this week and learn about sharing large numbers into groups of 2, 5 and 10.

Topic.

ART - In art we have been looking at flowers and this week will be exploring making art with different textures.

Science - We have been looking at different plants in science and have used an app called seek to identify what they are. This week we will start to grow our own plants and monitor the changes that happen over the coming weeks.

History - We will have a special visit this week in history who will tell us all about how pentland was in the past. Last week we wrote them some questions which we can ask

What you can do at home

Have a practise at counting in 2s, 5s and 10s at home

Look in the garden or park and see which plants you have growing - if you can have a go at growing your own plants and monitor the changes that happen.

Read guided reading book every day at home
