As of Monday 30th October 2017, Pentland Infant and Nursery School is offering a new 2 year old community pre-school provision.
The staff team from the previous playgroup located on site have transferred to this new provision and we are pleased to welcome them to the school staff team.
Pentland Pre-School children will be known as the Acorn Class and be part of our overall Early Years Foundation Stage Unit, following all school policies and procedures.
The aim of the pre-school is to deliver high quality care and education for children of 2 years and above. There is a cosy, safe and stimulating learning environment, which allows children to explore and learn through play and a well-developed outdoor learning environment where children can develop their skills and knowledge on a larger scale.
The staff team plan a range of learning opportunities aimed at children’s specific developmental stage and place a high emphasis on supporting children’s physical, social and emotional and communication skills.
The Pre-school operates a morning and afternoon session.
